The Perceived Effects of Social Distancing and Quarantine During Coronavirus Pandemic to The Sexual Abuse in Butuan City

ABSTRACT

This study used the descriptive research design employing a self-made survey questionnaire distributed randomly to 189 resident-respondents of Butuan City. The basic statistical tools were used to interpret and analyze the data gathered. Likewise, Pearson r was used to test the association between the profiles of the respondents and the perceived effects of social distancing and quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic on the sexual abuse in Butuan City. The study revealed that the perceived impact of social distancing and quarantine would help prevents prevalent touching to the victims of sexual abuse during the coronavirus pandemic. Likewise, social distancing and quarantine will allow people to spend more significant work and leisure time online.
