—— The field of higher education in developing countries is currently dealing with challenges that call for exceptional leaders as a direct result of globalization and the rapid transformation of the surrounding environment. This study looks at the importance of emerging transformational leaders in Higher Education Institutions in the Philippines. It seeks to find out the ways of the transformational leaders in coping with academic changes. These academic changes are in terms of Pedagogy, Curriculum and Instruction, Assessment, and Policy. This study used a qualitative approach to research particularly descriptive design. With the participation of the educational leaders, they also shared the challenges they have faced in combatting with these changes, as well as, the best practices that they have done in order to adapt to the inevitable academic changes. From these points, a Best Practices Framework was designed focusing on the four areas: Pedagogy, Curriculum and Instruction, Assessment, and Educational Policy.
